Many residents of the new Victoria Dock development are finding
their way to existing pubs like the Duke of Edinburgh and Victoria Dock Tavern. But the new village
around the old dock still means a lot of people without anywhere very local to drink. Camerons have
stepped into the breach with the Timber Dock.
Inside, the Timber Dock is a surprise: and a pleasant one at that.
There is a danger that new pubs can be very plasticky. The Timber dock belies its lack of age. The
variety of spaces inside add interest and, already, some atmosphere, and bode well for the pub as
it slowly matures.
