Though it's done few favours by the appearance of its neighbours,
this is a nice welcoming local with a single room wrapped around three sides of the bar. The Swan
is leased from Punch Taverns by the Hull Irish Society, which explains the choice of music and
sport on offer.
The landlord tells us that planning is in progress to renovate the
cinema frontage next door in order to construct a concert room. Meanwhile, permission has also been
given to turn part of the large car park at the back into a beer garden. Things are definitely
looking up for the Swan.
