A large imposing building overlooking a prominent junction. Inside are a variety of function rooms plus a large lounge area. If there was an award for oddest opening hours, then the Queens would probably be in the running.

Meanwhile, does anyone have any news on the future of the Queens? A visit early in 1998 year showed it firmly shut up: and while a small notice talked of refurbishment, there was no other evidence of it. Return visits up to and including May 1999 showed no signs of any refurbishment yet under way.
