Developments around Plimsoll's Ship Hotel have not been kind to
it; and the pub now finds itself sandwiched between a motorcycle dealer and a timber merchant.
Yet once through the front door, you could be in another world. A
friendly welcome is matched by a lovely light wood decor; and a stunning wood and marble bar.
Completing the effect is a multicoloured glass dome in the ceiling of the main bar. This is
certainly a pub it's worth going well out of your way to visit.
