OK, we give in: all those who complained about the omission of the
Piper from this site have had their way.
So what's it like? It's loud, dark, young, and obviously very,
very popular. If it's fair to associate different types of pubs with different types of drinks,
this one would probably make you think of alcopops...
Since our initial review, the Piper's been given the "It's a
Scream" treatment, with the original white outside paintwork replaced by "scream
yellow".
Users' Views: In June 1998, A.P. Fisher
wrote "The Piper is now officially a Children's creche, I still consider myself 'young'
at 28, but felt old enough to be the father of some of the kids in there. If you're not wearing
your Nike trainers and Adidas shell suits and drinking alco-pops then you're too old
