With the arrival of the large new Hogshead in a converted cinema
on Beverley Road, there was always room for confusion with the nearby Newland Road establishment of
the same name.
A swift bit of handywork by the signmakers, saw the "HO"
of Newland Avenue's Hogshead replaced by "NA"; and the Nagshead was born.
Don't let the unpromising exterior put you off. Inside, you find a
comfortable, modern-feeling interior. Service is friendly; and there is a separate games room
upstairs.
