For most people visiting Hull, the area to the west of Ferensway
is where you go to catch the bus or the train home. It's also home to Hull's contenders, in Paragon
Station, for the "grottiest public loos on Earth" award: so make sure you go before you
leave the pub...
But there is a little more here. Spring Street is the home of the
Hull Truck Theatre Company, for example. There are also five pubs in the area that are worth a
look. The latest additions are the White Lion, which replaced the Green Gingerman (a very definite
change for the better); and the Providence, new to Hullpub, though not to Hull.
